Lessons
We believe in building a strong foundation upon which continual progress is developed, sequentially and systematically.
Lisa Smith, the owner of Prospect Downs, is an experienced rider, coach and trainer offering horses and riders astute attention to detail, building confidence and skills through lessons and training. Lisa is also Equestrian Canada Licensed Coach.
Lessons are available by appointment and can be either private or group format.
Quality lesson horses and ponies are also available for novice to experienced riders.
If you don’t have your own horse and would like to ride more, leasing is an excellent opportunity to increase your time in the saddle and hone your skills. Please browse our website for more information on lease horses available.
Tuition Based Lesson Program

Payment
With the tuition-based lesson program, we require payment at the beginning of the month for a minimum of 4 lessons/month.

Scheduling
We have a no cancellation policy, but our program allows for 2 free lessons in the year, so if you can’t make one, you are still getting that extra ride in.

Holidays/Weather
During the holidays or extreme weather conditions, the barn has alternate hours.
